E55 project
It has been a year since I had my last E55, it was the flint with E63 front and SL65 wheels. Sold it last December and have been daily driving my 2.slow turbo Audi

Looks like you did a nice job repairing it. I have seen way too many hacked together salvage title cars but I would own that one. What would a car with damage like that cost to buy at auction? A quarter panel, a door, a little paint work, upper suspension arms and time and you have a nice car.
Also, love the work wheels
Ps, these are the "salvage title" cars I'm used to seeing. This was a "repaired" cls55. It came in with a airmatic light and it rode very rough. It had a exhaust pipe welded in place of the air spring, spindle torched back into shape, among other obvious things.

Good work man! I am also about to pick one up from auction just waiting for the "one". There was one a couple weeks ago that sold that I was supposed to pickup but you know how it goes. I would be really interested in what you learned. Please shoot me a PM if you can, have some questions about it.

Thank you! The Work wheels were a little gamble (they used to be anodized blue!) but I had a vision and went with it and I am happy with the outcome!

Thank you everyone for the compliments, I am happy with the outcome. From purchase date to delivery took about 2 months. A month at the body shop, 2 weeks of aftermarket ad ons (wheels, suspension, exhaust, tint etc) and 2 weeks of driving the car making sure everything was perfect.

WOW, that is horrible!! It sucks because crap like that gives salvaged title cars a bad reputation. I document all my work like crazy, this is maybe 1/4th of the pictures I have showing the whole process just to show the next owner that there were no corners cut. A clean E55 at action right now goes for around 8k, higher mileage ones around 5k.

For $5-8k it can't be beat. There are non salvage E55's running around with much more damage than your car. The only difference is that when they were hit like that, the cars were worth much more money.
