Looking closely at this head unit

It seems to do everything I want, rear camera, streaming Bluetooth, iPhone integration, steering wheel buttons work, MFD works, HK amplifier works.
Has anyone bought/installed one?

That looks like a nice upgrade. Too bad I always seem to have a hard time with interior pieces, and if the computers don't cooperate with each other I'm lost.

Make sure either you or whatever shop you chose to install it is an absolute expert with this sort of thing. I bought one, had nothing but headaches with the installation process. After taking the car to a very reputable local shop for the installation work, I ended up needing to return it. They could not figure it out even with all the documentation that AVIN provides. It was a frustrating ordeal.
I loved the idea of it.
I really wanted the features.
I loved the OEM look of it.
I couldn't make it work.

Let us know if you try it out! I would be interested if it works. Did anything change with MOST between 2003-2009? Could it work better with one year vs another?

I used another cheaper brand that uses lollipop 5.1 operating system and no most.
With this one you can remove the factory amplifier and most of the other garbage units that sit behind the rear seats.
My one runs wires from the new headunit to where the old wiring for the amplifier was.
It powers the door speakers only and to me its fine. Its simply a case of installing whatever amps you want to run the other speakers and sub if necessary. The steering controls work. I can run torque or any other android apps. For navigation I use Nokia here maps. It works offline!!!
Mine was branded: Unusual Way. Bought direct off alibaba for like 350USD.
Looking at the pics of the avin unit its the exact same unit as mine. Unusual way can supply the bits for the most amplifier aswell I do believe. They ask you if you want the long cable that connects into the rear amplifier plugs then you bypass the most amplifer and install your own. Or you can use the most box. I wouldnt bother personally though.
Install is not difficult at all if I remember correctly it all plugs in... Not even sure I had to tap into power or anything cant remember now pretty sure the long cable to the back does power, can bus and powers the door speakers.
The hardest bit is running the wires to back and even that is hardly difficult.

Have one in my car too. The PO did all the legwork getting it installed so I'll have to give him the credit for that, the toughest thing for me is to figure out the software and how it was all set up, it's running a custom firmware with special hacks to get certain features to work, etc. I'd say it's still very nice though.

i'll try to take a picture when i get a chance. i use a nexus 7 so it doesn't cover to much as its only 7 inches. i've also recently been toying with mounting it above the center dash speaker using a windshield magnetic suction mount.

I was looking for similar options back when I purchased my car in 2012 or so but ended up buying Pioneer Avic 140BH
No issues whatsoever-ended up spending close to 2.5k with installation and all at Future shop.
You won't believe how capable our speakers are until you change the headunit of our cars lol I do not say it lightly. Good sound system would become one of your must if and when you would be shopping for a new car.
Now the AVIC crew is trying to port Android onto our Hardware-if that happens it'll be a game changer however, unlikely to happen.
Back then they had Chinese systems as well but none of them had MOST option and for that module I had to pay $500 alone.
Once again it'll change your whole outlook on the speaker system lol -I have 13 speaker system setup HK
