Brake Question
I have a new E63 with the standard brakes and not the carbon ceramics. After the brakes warm up they squeak the last couple of feet when coming to a stop. No noise when cold. It has been that way since delivery and now has 350 miles on it. I have never had a new car with noisy brakes before including Brembo units. Dealer has no history of this problem and the PDI mechanic did not notice it on the test drive. Is anyone else experiencing this? Thanks.

Before you take it in, I'd try to bed the pads. It could be that when the pads were new you glazed them with repeated soft braking, like might occur in stop and go traffic. Get out on an open road, run the car up to decent speed, and then brake hard to drop 30 - 40 mph (of course, check your mirrors to ensure there is no one behind you). Do this 3-4 times to really get some heat into the pads. If they are glazed, this should clean them up. If you still have a squeal, then the pads are vibrating in the caliper. This could be a missing or improperly installed shim/puck, so I'd insist the dealer remove, check, and reinstall the front pads

Bedding the pads in worked.
Too bad the service manager and PDI mechanic did'nt have a clue. Looks like I need to find another dealer for service.
Thanks very much.

It's the brake dust that was driving me crazy. Every now and then the brakes would squeal but it created brake dust EVERYDAY. The dust free brake pads are the best purchase that I ever made for this car.

Unsafe - 2014 AMG E63 S - about to send lemon law letter to MBUSA
Appreciate any insight/advice please! - Hey I love this car, BUT I have had a significant safety issue, really since purchased. On cold/cool mornings when I start it and put in Drive many times (not every time) it bucks wildly, i mean wildly like neck snapping wild. So bad I need to take my foot off the accelerator. Usually occurs for a few seconds then all is fine. Been in the shop 4 times and 15 days and counting for this (has been in for other issues as well). I assumed my dealer would resolve and was assured each time it was all set. Last time it was in repair for 10 biz days. When i got it home and in the garage, I gave the thing a hug (how crazy is that). Any way still the same issue. I contacted MBUSA today to be sure I have the right address to send my "demand for relief" and to let them know it was coming. Sounds like nothing was fed up the chain from the dealer, so it was news to them. Anyone ever have to go thru this? I don't want money back - just want the car I should have gotten when I bought it late in 2013. Very sad and unbelievable it has come to this point.

We sell the RADO brake pads and it is probably the best purchase you can make, especially if you have wheels. They are virtually dust free, they are long lasting and they are also great performing pads.
As soon as you install them you can stop worrying about brake dust immediately, no more wiping your wheels down everyday.

Yup, stop worrying about brake dust, and go ahead and worry about shelling out a grand per rotor when the pads tear through them.
Bad trade-off IMO
