Light Weight Rotors
I was looking at the AMS website today and it seems like they now offer light weight rotors for our cars from Girodisc. According to the site, the savings up front is about 11 lbs per corner and 8 lbs in the back.

Does anyone have these rotors installed? When I swapped out the stock wheels to some HRE's that saved about 8 lbs of unsprung weight, the car felt that it handled much lighter and the acceleration was more crisp. I wonder how an additional 8-11 lbs will feel. Does anyone have prior experience with Girodisc? Who will be the first to try?

According to RacingBrake, the stock 2-piece are 29 lbs.

Might not be worth 5lbs per rotor until you need new ones.

I'm definitely going aftermarket for pads and rotors when the times comes for replacement ... Will save $2000 over oem

That sux! I met someone who literally lives less than 2 miles from me who bought an Alpha 7 E63 from AMS the other day. We took turns driving each other's car and I am itching to get the downpipes and exhaust as well. That car rumbles like an American muscle car.

Spent the afternoon at MSR Houston. Nice facility. My first time on this track and I really enjoyed it. The XT970 pads were awesome. Consistent performance all day with confidence-inspiring braking power. I could not be happier. Thank you RacingBrake!
