drag wheels for cls63??
anyone whos put drag radials on these cars, what wheels did you use?
i cant seem to find any in the right size..
was thinking i need to go down to 18's or 17's. by 11 wide...
i found a company that can custom make them but hoped there was a quicker route....

There are 3 options if you want to modify your tires:
1) You can buy Pirelli Corsa 285 30 19 which is a semi slick tire and it is very good for everyday use.
2) You can go for a 18 inch setup with 11' wide any 5 spoke wheels from Momo or similar. As for tire I experienced Hoosier 315 30 18 and was quite pleased.
3) 16 inch CLK forged wheels. Those are the lightest wheels. as for tires Hoosier 255-60-16 Drag Radials. Those tires are the 1:1 match for the stock size in diameter and your gearbox will be feeling just fine. This this upgrade though you would have to change your AMG rear brake disk and calipers to E350 or CLS350 brake disks and calipers.

hoosier slicks are unbelievable
street tyres dont hook good at tracks the compound of a street tyre does not work at a drag track
20psi i run in the hoosiers
