Asking for advice on exhaust
So I have my CLS63 S 2014 for over 2 years now and try to make it sound louder. I was told that downpipes will do, or should I get the whole exhaust system? And what brand would be a good choice to me?

Downpipes are all you need. They give you at least twice the volume as the stock set-up. I have a set of Switzer downpipes but there are several good vendors on the forum that sell different brands.

^I don't know exactly because they used my car to introduce their P700 package. It included their tune, drop-in filters, downpipes and exhaust. They gave me a nice price on the package but I don't have a breakdown.

I can't speak for what Switzer is doing today, but the retail price was around $7000 for the PKG being described when I was there (worked with them, though not exclusively, from 2009-2014). The breakdown was around $2000 for the tune, $2000 for the DPs, and another $3000 for the exhaust (may have been $1500 for DPs, $3500 for exhaust, but it was $5K for that).
Speedriven has a 10% off exhaust parts and 20% off tune sale going this month, though (which we posted to the other 63 boards, I think). As such, the breakdown is:
$1600 for ECU tune, $3960 for catless downpipes (off-road/test pipes) + exhaust. $5560 total, call it $5600 shipped. $6100 for downpipes with 200 cell OBD compliant cats. Let me know.

Brabus is my choice with the two modes (quiet and loud). Not cheap, but works perfectly and got the sound I was looking for. (On my GL63 which has the same engine).

Appreciate the info all. Oh and AHI, we mustn't forget to order our 3019 CLS classes. I heard they're so amazing, I put a one million dollar deposit down on one like 5 years ago. And yes, this does include the Mercedes Benz exclusive feature, Teleportronic.
