We’ve seen some interesting custom Mercedes and unusual rigs here on MBWorld. Unimogs and other various heavy-duty platforms have been everything from firetrucks to buses. But this has to be the first time we’ve ever seen a mobile Mercedes sauna, especially on eBay.
If you asked us how we would design a sauna on a Mercedes chassis, we wouldn’t have any idea where to start. However this one goes full cylindrical. In order to make it a proper sauna, this one is made out of techniques we never even knew were needed for a steam room. Real wood is used throughout, and even dried to a very precise eight percent humidity. Of course, all of the ways to heat up water for the required steam are fully contained within the structure to make it truly mobile.
And by the way, the whole sauna is fully removable from the Mercedes RV. If you wanted to have the ultimate glamping attraction, this is it right here. Show up to your local RV camping ground, and in no time you’ll be able to start making money on your investment. But if you also wanted to see the Mercedes that it is attached to, that’s part of the package.
Yes, An Actual Sauna on a Mercedes RV
Built in 1991, this 410D Mercedes RV is equipped with a dually axle, a five-speed manual transmission and the solidly reliable OM602 five-cylinder diesel. You won’t be moving anywhere quickly, though as this big beast has less than 100 horsepower and 140 lb ft of torque. However, speed and saunas just don’t really go together, so this truck’s pace is OK with us.
One thing is for sure, we haven’t seen this kind of setup on the Sprinter, which was the success to the Mercedes 410D/TN platform. We feel it’ll be a while before someone decided to one-up a sauna, however.
