Spy Shots: The Next AMG C-Class at the Nürburgring

The W204 C63 AMG will be remembered as one of the greatest driver’s cars of all time. The current crop of AMG weapons like the SLS AMG Black Series and the C63 AMG Black Series are evidence that Mercedes-Benz knows how to build cars that can lift the corners of your mouth as you master through corners.

Because Mercedes has upped their performance game in recent years, we are really looking forward to the next-generation AMG C-Class, which was recently spied at the Nürburgring. The car is expected to lose its legendary M156 6.2L naturally aspirated V8 in favor of the twin-turbo M157 5.5L V8 found in the current E63 AMG. As you may have seen in one of our recent posts, that M157 engine is no slouch. WorldCarFans estimates the next AMG C-Class will boast around 525 horsepower.

Expect the next C-Class to bow at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show in January, with the AMG model to be revealed two months later in Geneva.
