2012 SLK Patent Drawings to Start the New Year Right
Content provided by BenzInsider.com
A new year brings a fresh start to many of us. Well, you can’t get any fresher than this: A whole batch of patent drawings trademarked by Mercedes-Benz, showing the form of the next-generation SLK. Yep, you’re looking at what the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK will look like.
Although the new SLK retains most of the exterior appearance of the
current line, there are still some updates with additional details for
the design in order to set apart the new from the old. Of course, the
released French commercial already shows the actual 2012 roadster. While
the exterior facelift isn’t really a drastic change, the next-gen
version will most probably offer a wider range of engine options.
Aside from those, it should offer a kilometric feature list that
should include DISTRONIC PLUS, the head- and neck-warming Airscarf
system, reduced seat heating via sun-reflective leather, and a host of
other high-tech stuff.
The 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK is expected to make its debut at the North
American International Auto Show at Detroit or at the Geneva Motor Show
later this year.
