Sand Wedge Won’t Help: AMG C63 Gets Stuck in Golf Course Sand Trap

If you’re scrolling through your social media feed and happen to see this, let it remind you that things could be worse. Spotted yesterday by Ilya S. on the Chicagoland Petrolheads Facebook page, this CL63 AMG made a golf course sand trap truly earn its name.
We don’t know if this AMG driver was in a rush to get to their tee or if GPS gave them bad directions. It could even be an errant valet or someone who mistook the gas for the brakes. From the looks of the CL’s approach, though, we doubt the car will be puttering around till it gets fixed. Advice from a pro would go a long way to help fix their drive.

All joking aside, the owner of this CL-turned-sand wedge will make two very interesting phone calls this week. One to his insurance agent and another to the country club golf course where this took place.
Speaking of getting things fixed, all of the car’s frontal area has endured a thorough re-working from the sand trap and the back of the car didn’t fare much better. Let’s hope the damage is only cosmetic and the AMGs isback on the road soon.
