BMW i3 Brings Knife to a Gunfight Against AMG GT
Talk about bringing a knife to a gun fight. Drive.com.au set up a track battle between a pair of modern supercars to see which was best, but they chose the BMW i8 and the Mercedes-AMG GT. I don’t really consider a comparison between a 500-horsepower V8 supercar and a 3-cylinder hybrid to be very fair. I will admit that the BMW is fast for what it is, and that is helps represent a potential future for the sports car, but to argue that it is better than a German V8 with a pair of turbochargers is hilarious.
If you watch the video, you will get the same impression as I did. It’s hard for one side to even argue against the other because the two cars are so completely different from each other. What you end up with is two mates laughing and tossing jokes at each other as they enjoy two beautiful cars on a track.
If you were hoping for an in-depth comparison, you will have to look elsewhere, but if you just want to see two guys having a blast in two awesome cars, you have clicked on the right video. Enjoy.
