Brabus Tunes the AMG E63S Sedan & Wagon to 800 horsepower, 1000nm
Mercedes-Benz AMG E63S gets larger turbochargers and a long list of interior and exterior upgrades.
The Mercedes-Benz AMG E63S is offered as both a sedan and a wagon, and both are among the best performing models in their class. In stock form, the twin turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 delivers 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, making the E63S one of the most powerful sedans and wagons in the world, while the standard 4Matic all-wheel-drive system helps to make them some of the quickest production cars in the world, sprinting to 60 miles-per-hour in the mid-3-second range.
For most people, that is plenty of real world performance, but for those prospective AMG E63S buyers who want more and a unique look, Brabus has the answer.
According to CarBuzz, the Brabus 800 package is available for both the AMG E63S sedan and wagon, and in both models, it lifts the output to 800 horsepower and 1000 newton-meters of torque, which translates to 737 lb-ft for American drivers.
AMG E63S with Big Power
The heart of the Brabus 800 package is under the hood, where the team increases the output of AMG’s twin turbocharged 4.0-liter V8.
Brabus adds larger turbochargers, a carbon fiber engine air intake system, a stainless steel exhaust system and an engine tune, all of which lifts the output to the aforementioned 800 horsepower and 737 lb-ft of torque. With the help of the tuned 9-speed automatic transmission and the advanced all-wheel-drive system, the Brabus 800-equipped AMG E63S will sprint from a stop to 60 miles-per-hour in just three seconds flat and on a long pull, the juiced sedan or wagon will reach a top speed of 190 miles per hour.
In addition to packing loads more power, the stainless steel exhaust system features adjustable internal flaps, allowing the driver to control the sound and volume level of his or her Brabus 800 AMG E63S.
Unique Design Appointments
In addition to the extra power, the Brabus 800 package for the Mercedes-Benz AMG E63S adds a long list of exterior bits, most of which are glossy visible carbon fiber. This includes a front chin spoiler, portions of the grille, the rear diffuser, the rear wing and side skirts. There is also an illuminated Brabus badge in the grille and a handful of other unique badges around the exterior.
Capping off the exterior upgrades is a set of unique 21-inch Brabus Monoblock Z lightweight alloy wheels, wrapped in Continental Conti Sportcontact 6 tires.
The standard interior upgrades of the Brabus 800 package for the Mercedes-Benz E63S are simple, starting with stainless steel door sill plates with a backlit Brabus logo that change color with the interior ambient lighting. There are also bright pedals and aluminum door lock pins, but for those buyers who want a more unique look, Brabus has a long list of interior options including bespoke leather seating designs.
As great as the exterior looks with all of the carbon fiber components, the fully optioned-out cabin with the Brabus leather is just as impressive.
What we don’t know about the Brabus 800 package for the Mercedes-Benz AMG E63S is the price. The German tuning company doesn’t list pricing on the website, but with a standard E63S starting over $107,000, anyone who is serious about buying a Brabus model should be prepared to pay well over that number. However, for that unknown price, you are getting one of the quickest four-door cars in the world.
