C63 AMG Funky Bass Cat Competition
As a bass player, I love the low end grumble of the C63 AMG as is. But when you crazy kids — with your cats and your headers and your after market shenanigans — start playing around with exhaust notes, that’s when I really dig the funky bass.
And I’m not the only one who’s all about that C63 bass, MBWorld member Johnny912 recently posted a thread titled, “which cat back,” whilst in pursuit of that perfect low-end rumble. Here’s how he kicked off the cat competition:
“Alright guys I’m pulling the trigger on either a Agency power or the IPE now that’d be special pricing is being offered. Dont know which one do get, relatively similar pricing and both sound awesome. Any feedback on both systems about drone issues, fitment, ping sounds, or failures welcomed.”
Lots of you fine folks have offered some good advice, so check it out in the forums if you’re interested in a similar setup. Member dcho even offered up a couple of sonorously charged YouTube vids to choose from: the Eisenmann Race Exhaust, with its bowel shaking grumble that sounds like the belly of a hungry troll…
And the IPE exhaust that kind of sounds like King Kong getting pelted by a Gatling gun, if you listen to it without the video accompaniment…
