C63 AMG’s Extensive Mods Make it an Undeniable Showstopper

The W204 C-Class lineup contains some of the best vehicles ever produced by Mercedes. Among that hallowed group was the C63 AMG, which featured the company’s 6.3 liter V8. It’s the type of car that can provide a sonorous exhaust note and woo BMW loyalists at the same time. This month’s featured car can do all that and more.
M-B World holds a monthly contest among forum members to determine which car they feel is worth highlighting. We’re delighted to announce that Jadon Bowles, better known in the forums as “DesignoGrey,” is the Featured Car of the Month winner! Bowles’ 2012 C63 AMG P88 Edition 1 received nearly 40% of the total votes in what was a crowded field.
“On my C63, I installed 3.5-inch intake tubes, Eurocharged ATX E85 and 550c.c. injectors,” Bowles tells M-B World. “I got a MyGenius handheld, so I uploaded a Eurocharged v7 tune. I installed a Snow Performance meth injection kit to accompany the Nitrous Express E85 EFI system that I’m in the middle of installing. Once finished I’m headed to the dyno!
“I am still waiting on my carbon fiber driveshaft,” he adds. “I plan on building the transmission early next year. Since it’s a P88 Edition 1, I decided to scratch the supercharger. Keep it N.A. for nostalgia.
“The Metris will eventually get an airbag suspension,” says Bowles, “and also meth injection; DP and exhaust; wheels and tires. Maybe turbo upgrade. Hopefully Eurocharged will work with me to tune it.”

For his Mercedes’ exterior, the longtime M-B enthusiast chose Designo Selenite Grey Magno, a factory matte paint scheme offered by Mercedes. The AMG GT-R and a number of other models can be ordered with it. Bowles made a great decision to put it on his C63 AMG, as it adds to the one-of-a-kind vibe that likely resonated with the M-B World forum members who voted for it.
It looks like his head-turning Mercedes has everything any enthusiast could ever want. So, we had to ask: What’s the one thing Mercedes doesn’t have that you wish it had?
“A clutch!” he says with a laugh. “I love my paddles!”
