Any day we get a new video from Chris Harris is a good day. But thanks to a big dose of AMG power, his latest video makes today a GREAT day.

Here we have one of the first real reviews of the new Mercedes-AMG GT by the folks over at Drive.com.au or, in other words, the Australians. Inevitably, there are beers, kangaroos, koalas, beers, fist fights, venomous snakes, and women with some of the best accents around in the following video.

You’re probably going to mad at one of your fellow forum members after you read this, but once the pangs of jealousy subside, you may just be happy your fellow forum member got a track day with the AMG GT S. You’ll certainly be happy for his review.

Sometimes, the best auto journalists are you guys, the people in the forum that actually make enough money to buy the models we writers desire. We test the cars, but we usually do so over such a short period of time that it’s difficult to discover the true nature and character of each vehicle. I get the feeling that when Autoblog tested the Mercedes-Benz S550 Coupe, the Billy Joel song “Just the Way You Are” was playing through its speakers. In the site’s review of the S63 AMG Coupe, it basically tells the less-powerful two-door, “Don’t go changing to try and please me.” Autoblog seems to love it just the way it is. That’s not to say the publication hates the S63, though. See what I mean after the jump.

The Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG is a big, heavy, and above all else, hugely powerful sedan meant for blasting down the autobahn. However, with the new Hellcat contending for the same spot as the E63, can the seasoned veteran still compete on the same level as the new kid on the block for a king’s title among powerful sedans?
