Commercial Break: Ride Along at the Ring

At the end of May, we brought you the footage of Mercedes-Benz opening the Nurburgring 24 hours with a bang. Videos continue to trickle out from the German automaker, and here’s their latest. Ride along on the front wing of Michael Schumacher’s W 02 as he takes on all 154 corners of the famous circuit.

Sadly, Schumacher isn’t at his limit in the car. From the video you can see how bumpy the track is and it’s a perspective you don’t normally get with onboard footage with GT cars. Also from the wing’s perspective you get a chance to see the curbs massive size. It really is amazing how a driver can use them to their advantage when they need to, and how they can avoid the ones that look like they would break the suspension.
