Maybach Crash LAPD

Crashing your Maybach is bad. Crashing into a cop car is even worse.

Imagine a nice Sunday evening cruise in your Maybach, rolling through the famous streets of Los Angeles, when next thing you know, you’re in a T-bone collision with a cop car. Surprising for anyone, and a nightmare for a high-end car like a Maybach.

Unfortunately for the German ride, it fared the worst in the crash with a fairly large hit to the front end. Just about everything forward of the windscreen has damage to it in some way or another. LAPD’s set of wheels was hit on the driver’s side, creating a big crease along the entire length. It was enough to prevent the driver’s-side door from being opened. Thankfully, no injuries were reported with this crash, although the officer in the squad car did have to use the passenger door as an alternative exit from the stricken service vehicle.

LAPD says the incident is still under investigation, which is a bit odd. Usually it’s easy to tell who’s at fault first. And with a collision with a car of this price bracket, you can guess it’ll be investigated fully. After all, it’s not like you can just go out and buy another new Mercedes-Maybach. With a limited production run, availability of new models has already dried up.
