EVO Drags C63 AMG Against Mustang

Besides massive difference in luxury, the two cars have a remarkable amount in common. They both pack V8s under the hood, sound monstrous, and go like a scalded cat. Oddly, they even cost a similar amount. Benz’s C63 AMG runs $59,800 while the GT500 will cost you $54,995. Where they differ, is in real power.

The Ford makes 662hp. That bears repeating. You can go out an buy a Mustang from Ford that makes 662hp and 631lb -ft of torque. The SLS doesn’t even make that kind of power. By comparison, the C63 AMG makes 451hp and 443lb-ft of torque. With numbers as large as these, it’s easy to fall into the delusional belief that the C63 is slow. It is not. Not only is it fast, it’s fast and high tech. That’s not something that the Mustang can boast in any measure.
