Inferno Carbon Fiber Kit Makes AMG G63 a Sleek, Sexy Supercar-killer
Russian tuner TopCar released multiple trims and colors for its new Inferno line, but this color is simply breathtaking in every way.
If there’s one thing that stands out about Russian car culture, it’s that they don’t mind going over the top. Well, the new Mercedes-AMG G63 is about as over-the-top as it gets. Stock, it makes 577 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque from its twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8. It scrambles from zero to 60 in under 4.5 seconds, despite weighing nearly three tons. And it starts at a shade under $150k. Despite being on the market for just a few months, it’s already been bulletproofed, modded, and tuned to 800 horsepower.
But for the Russians, it could be pushed even further. Tuner TopCar has released Inferno in Mystic Blue, White, Green, Matte Black, and of course, the carbon fiber body kit for the G63. Needless to say, it’s wild. There are three trim levels offered. The base, $20k kit includes LED headlights, and carbon fiber bumpers, diffusers, splitters, fender extensions, side sills, all made from that good woven stuff. Another $10k adds roof panels, a spoiler, even more LEDs, exhaust tips, and some Top Car shark logos. If you opt for the $44k package, you get visible carbon fiber trim just about everywhere.
Is it going to make your 5,800-pound G63 much lighter? Highly doubtful. Does it look cool and perfectly match the attitude of the G Wagen? Absolutely. The kit notable doesn’t include any performance modifications. So if you want your new luxo barge to go faster, you’ll have to farm the work out to someone like Brabus, pushing the price even higher. But who cares? If you’re buying a brand new G63 just to mod, chances are you have a little cash to burn.
One of the things that make the G63 so great is that it’s a world-class rock-crawler that puts up supercar performance numbers. We love seeing tuners take them to even wilder places, whether it’s cosmetic or otherwise. Besides, it looks damn good in all that carbon fiber.
