Brabus 900: A Look Inside the Monstrous Maybach

By -

At the heart of this refined luxurious Mercedes Maybach S 650 beats the heart of a 900-horsepower savage.

We’ve told you about the incredible and inspired work of German tuning company Brabus. They have been innovators in taking Mercedes cars and turning them into high-performance supercars. Perhaps one of their greatest achievements is the Brabus 900, based on the Mercedes Maybach S 650. The car is powered by a 6.3-l V12 engine that produces a staggering 900 horsepower. With power usually reserved for the world’s most powerful sports cars, the Brabus 900 maintains the classic Mercedes Maybach S 650 style, and offers luxury that is beyond compare.

On their official YouTube channel, Brabus now offers us an inside look at the Brabus 900. The 900 in the video has even more added upgrades, including Monoblock 21-inch Platinum Edition wheels that look downright hedonistic, and we love it.

Brabus does two things remarkably well; deliver the finest state-of-the-art technology and luxury, and then tear apart our pre-conceived notions of what a luxury car can do. Make no mistake, the performance upgrades Brabus chose have made this car a raging rocket, reaching top speeds of 217 mph and reaching zero to 62 mph in a mere 3.7 seconds.

But the video also shows how brilliantly well-appointed the car is, with everything we expect (and more) from a Mercedes Maybach, and then turns that opulence up even more.

The sporty interior features buttery leather seating, ambient lighting, and automated everything. No detail is left out, from the superior high-tech onboard system, to the door latch.

The video shows off many features, but holds back just enough to makes us want more, especially after hearing the brutal and beautiful roar of the engine.
