I couldn't find if this was posted before, but it could be because I'm not sure what it was called. Some people call it a puddle logo light / projector. Any case I saw a vid of someone with a e class install it and I thought it came out really nice :
I bought mine on Amazon, had it for about 6 months and still works good. Very easy to install the shadow lights. A puddle light is under the side mirrors and that would be cool, I believe Lincoln has laser logos under the side mirrors/ puddle lights.
Ways it could affect the warranty. (very unlikely)
1. You break a clip or damage the door panel installing it. The clip and door panel damage would not be covered.
2. The laser circuitry malfunctions to a dead short and pops a fuse. The fuse and time troubleshooting finding the faulty aftermarket device would not be covered.
Basically, only modifications that can be directly attributed to a failure can void that portion of the warranty. Changing a lightbulb or a suspension component to non oem cannot for example void your powertrain warranty, etc.
BMW have started to fit BMW lamps like this as standard. Bloody awful and tacky in my opinion. Perhaps this option should come with a massive gold neck chain and rings to match.
I had the logo light on the GLE loaner I just turned in......don't like it at all !
Is there any way I can turn off the lighted MB logos in the doorsills? Every time I see them, I think of a guy I knew who was completely over-cooked for Harley-Davidsons. He once came to a public town meeting wearing 5 different items of H-D logo'd clothing. It was the H-D SOCKS that killed me! He didn't even RIDE his H-D to that meeting! I had only a Honda CB 750, but at least I rode it.
(But H-D socks are no worse than the MB logo'd tire valve caps that are available. Maybe someday the S-Class models will have a option for LIGHTED tire valve caps!)

Moss-Magnuson is for replacement parts NOT mods and even if that weren't true the only way to challenge denied coverage is through the courts which you'll never get through in under 2 years during which time your car must sit idle as it's evidence in your claim. In short, while the risk is low, any mod is a risk.
In this particular case, the main reason to skip this mod is for the celebration of good taste.

As for the warranty claims discussion: Here in the Netherlands a mod has had to negatively influence a part or be the direct cause of failure for it to be reason to deny warranty.
As for the puddle light:
I actually ordered some from ali even before i had my car... :P This is the result:
The lines aren't that sharp. Furthermore it gets really HOT and you'll lose the "red light" part of the puddle light as it only lights the floor and only has 1 light to do so. The red part cars/cyclists etc should clearly see when coming from behind that. On top of that: Fitment was not more than 'so-so'. So when i noticed these flaws, i just put these back in their bag.
I ordered different ones, which are original Mercedes lights. (part no A1668205900)
With this as a result:
Nice, sharp lines on the logo, still has a very clearly visible red part (this light uses 3 leds! 2 for the red 1 for the logo) and fitment of course is perfect, though a bit tight to install as the wires are very short. Would be easier to take of the doorpanel. I thought i had broken the light but it was only a connector that came loose and i could simply click it back on. Furthermore there is an actual heat sink on these lights! :p So no worries about one point getting to hot like with the aliexpress lights.
Feel/think how you like about these, i like them so i'll keep them on For those who don't like them, simply don't install them. Taste is personal and many people on forums tend to forget that. So instead of discussing whether or not something is good taste to add on (whether it be lights like these, spoilers, AMG badges or whatever... focus on the technicalities instead of taste.)

It's not about "credibility". the facts are that Benz can deny warranty coverage for whatever made-up reason they choose and the customer's recourse is to (a.) complain, (b.) take it to the media, (c.) sue.

That's probably because that's what the OP asked: "Has anyone done it for the new c class yet ? Do you think it will affect the warranty?"
The correct warranty answer is:
* On a leased car any non stock equipment is a lease violation
* Any non-stock equipment (mods) is a warranty risk
The fine print on both of those is that the risk is very VERY small for cosmetic mods, but the impact of the triggered risk is high: Giving Benz a reason to deny payment for warranty work is stupid and, at least in the US, something the customer is bound to lose since here's how it plays out:
Customer: Hey Benz, you have to pay for those repairs since, you know, defect. So warranty.
Benz: no, because mods (or whatever reason)
Customer: but but but you HAVE to pay because forums say you have to and they're not in kindergarten!
Benz: mmmm ... still no.
Customer: I'll sue!
Benz:
At this point even if you sue for coverage Benz will file motions to delay for research or whatever. This can last for years.
SUMMARY: very small risk, but very huge problem if you get hit
Personally i don't think the puddle lights i have will ever be a warranty issue.
They're original MB, no other modification is needed, plug&play.
It's like buying a philips light and later replacing the bulb with osram of the same wattage/size etc :p and then philips saying the fixture broke because of the other brand bulb.
Also i think it depends on the laws in your country. In the Netherlands where i live, i know for certain this mod will not affect my warranty on anything else. Likewise, i would be allowed by law to mod my exhaust and if i have a failure on my discbrakes or something, it still would be a warranty issue. However, if, because of the exhaust, there would be an engine failure, it's my problem and not a warranty issue.
In the same way, a spoiler for example should not impact my warranty on my headlights, or exhaust parts etc.
Only if the mod has a DIRECT AND SUBSTANTIAL IMPACT on a certain part of the car, the warranty on that part alone can be voided by the manufacturer. Not on the vehicle as a whole.
