Leak-Happy: The 2012 C 63 AMG… Or is it?

We’ve already seen the brand spankin’ new 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and the next-gen vehicle is set to make its debut at the Detroit Auto Show. This time, though, it’s the high-performance edition of the upcoming C-Class that’s peeking its head (or front fascia, to be more precise) much to our delight. Ladies and gentlemen, the vehicle that you see pictured above could very well be the 2012 C 63 AMG.

Pundits are barely even sure that the leaked images are actually that
of the 2012 C 63 AMG, so don’t expect any details just yet when it
comes to the official debut for the vehicle or when preorders start or
when the car is set to be released. Don’t worry–we’ll keep you posted
as soon as new bits of information become available. In the meantime,
just enjoy the spoiled pics and see for yourself.

Of course, we already have some expectations about the new C 63 AMG.
After all, with the new 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine available,
that is the best bet to make it under the hood of the C 63 AMG. That
power plant should provide the car with 571 horsepower along with 664
lb-ft of torque.
