Mercedes-AMG GT S Faces Off Against GT-R Nismo
I think you need to fill your eyeballs with some high-speed drag race action. How does an AMG GT S versus a GT-R Nismo sound? Those crazy kids over at GT Boards have gone and done it again, and we have this rolling drag battle featuring the mightiest version of Godzilla you can buy from the factory and Mercedes-Benz’s newest AMG special. The first race is a slower speed start, and while it does look like the AMG might have started a slight bit early, the impressive lead it pulls out ahead of the GT-R is astonishing.
They roll back around the airfield to go for a second run with a slightly faster starting speed. This time the GT-R edges ahead just slightly, but it never really loses the Mercedes. Considering the Mercedes has two fewer driven wheels and a power deficit of nearly 100 ponies, I expected that GT-R to just walk off like the AMG wasn’t even moving. Just goes to show how good that German engineering really is.
