Thunder Wagen: Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG Gets Piped Out

By -

YouTuber gives his G63 AMG a volume (and attitude) adjustment with this savage straight pipe treatment.

In the latest video by Amir Shaikh of The CarBiz, his Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 4×4 gets a thunderous surprise with the help of some friends. Shaikh meets up with Alex Choi, and Damon and Dave from Canadian-based Daily Driven Exotics. The guys planned to give Shaikh’s Alien Green Mercedes the straight piping treatment. Things are about to get loud.

After some shenanigans, Shaikh and Choi pick up Damon and Dave from the airport and drive around Los Angeles. It is fortuitous when they see a head-turning, custom G63 AMG 6×6 parked outside a restaurant. Naturally, they take advantage of the situation and take some pictures of the two G63s sitting side-by-side. Shaikh is feeling a little crunchy after seeing the $1.5 million Herculean 6×6 dwarf his 4×4.

Later, the guys from Daily Driven Exotics have the G63 on a service ramp in the garage. Shaikh asks why, and Damon tells him “We’re straight pipin’ it.” Shaikh’s reaction?

They get to work and assemble the straight pipe. The Daily Driven guys have a lot of experience, so it takes them very little time. They also made a video about the experience, and go a little bit more into the details of straight piping.

Once the work is done, they rev up the straight piped G63 and everyone is just shocked by the results. This thing sounds like a T-Rex’s roar. The Mercedes-Benz G63 is loud and proud, and ready to hit the road.

The guys take it out around Los Angeles, and hit Rodeo Drive. It is fun, hilarious to watch, and pretty jaw-dropping. In the end, Shaikh leaves it up to his viewers to decide whether or not he should keep the straight piping. We’re not sure, but there’s a good chance he’s going to end up with a ticket for sound pollution.
