Mercedes-Benz Has GT Cabrio, E-Class All Terrain, Pickup in Future Forecast

Mercedes-Benz’sĀ overhaul of their product range is not even close to complete. In the past year or so, we have seen the naming nomenclature change quite a lot. Long-standing model names were out, as the ML line became GLE, and all new models like the CLA and GLA joined the ranks. And for 2017 and beyond, MB has some new surprises for us.

A pickup truck, (a Nissan co-op) is on the list, plus two more interesting cars that haven’t quite broke cover just yet. The AMG GT will have a convertible sibling, which really comes as no surprise, as the drop-top market for the SLS was quite significant. And the E-class will see an All Terrain version.

It’s worth noting that this timeline is representative of world launches, and not the U.S. market. Sadly, of those three new models mentioned above, only the GT cabrio is expected to splash onto our shores. The All Terrain and pickup aren’t expected here, which is sad, and strange. Mercedes has to know that they would have a market here for a quasi off-road crossover, and it would just make sense to sell a pickup in the country that uses pickups as its backbone. Maybe they will add those to the lineup in 2018.
