Mercedes Debuts New ‘Jurassic World’ Trailer
Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and a Mercedes Benz GLE Coupe in ‘Jurassic World.’
It’s safe to say that there is plenty of buzz surrounding this summer’s next Jurassic Park film, Jurassic World. While the third film left plenty to be desired, this newest installment looks like it’s going to be a killer ride. Between the dinosaurs and great actors, every teaser looks better and better, and now we have one more. Although this didn’t come through the normal trailer release channels.
Nope, this one debuted at the Mercedes Press Conference at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this week.
Confused? So we’re we, until we watched the footage. Take a look.
Yes, Mercedes collaborated with the Jurassic World creators and showcased some of the company’s coolest vehicles, including the insane 6×6 G63. We actually broke the news that the 6×6 would be onscreen with some ferocious dinos a few months ago, and we’re finally glad to see the big truck making its onscreen Jurassic debut.
What isn’t so hot is how Mercedes cuts the GLE Coupe into the footage. First off, most of it doesn’t match anything going on in the film. Second, other than the business woman Bryce Dallas Howard portrays, it doesn’t appear that any of the characters even interact with the GLE, unlike the G63 6×6. Why splice this in at the end if the real star of the movie is the G63? It’s just blatant pandering.
I’m super excited to watch this film, but come on Mercedes, just showcase the cars that are actually being showcased in the film. And if you won’t, then we will in the G63 photo gallery below.
