We know there will be a lot of U.S. based Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts excited about this bit of news.

After all, MB wagons are pretty popular. So any reports of a new model in the works is bound to rev up some attention. And this latest one certainly is no exception.

According to Auto Week, the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon will go on sale here in the States next year. Of course, the car will feature many of the same luxury and performance features that have made the E-Class popular here already, just in a more extended platform package.

The new MB wagon will be available in a E400 4Matic trim and powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine. Talks of a possible AMG model making its way to the U.S. seem to be speculative at best. Well, based on the Auto Week report.

While the higher-performance model would surely be a welcomed addition to the MB line-up here, for now, we’ll just be happy with what we get.
