Mercedes Gives Inside Peek at New E-Class
Mercedes-Benz is preparing to reveal the new 2017 E-Class next month at the Detroit Auto Show, so they decided it would be fun to tease fans with a short series of interior shots and pictures from around the design studio. Now, we are not sure if these are really well placed teases (more likely), or just the mistake of some marketing guys that have no clue how much we pay attention (more hilarious), but in the background of these photos there are lots of shots of the new E-Class. We have nice big front-end shots and even a freaking small scale model of the new sedan just sitting there, waiting for prying eyeballs to find them.
Well, Mercedes, we certainly found them alright (with a little help from MotorAuthority). As expected the new E-Class looks like a larger version of the C-Class, or a smaller version of the S-Class. Take your pick really. Mercedes is falling into line with Audi by creating a family of vehicles that look almost identical, just in varying sizes.
Considering how gorgeous the S-Class and C-Class are, this isn’t exactly a bad thing. But let’s be serious here. As cool and exciting as this new sedan is, all we really want to see is the new AMG-powered Coupe version.
So, please reveal the new sedan already and get to work on teasing the sure-to-be-sexy coupe already!
