Summer is coming hard and fast, and in most parts of the country (sorry New England) the weather is getting better with warmer temps and heaps of sunshine. What better way to enjoy that weather than behind the wheel of a convertible? Personally there has always been something special about driving any car without a roof, but if you want to add some extra magic to your drop-top escapades, check out this mint classic Mercedes-Benz SL we found for sale at RK Motors Charlotte.

A 1987 560 SL, this immaculate machine only has 40,000 miles on the clock and it is completely original. There is no collision damage, no major paintwork to speak of, and the Signal Red gloss coat still has all the same shine as when it rolled out of the factory. Under the gorgeous body is a bone stock 5.6-liter V8, 4-speed automatic transmission, power disc brakes, and power steering. The inside is wrapped in tan leather, and if you’re worried that the factory black clothtop won’t be enough to keep out the elements, the car comes with the factory extra hard top too.

RK has a great video below showing the car inside and out that you can take a peak at, or if you want, you can just peruse our 16-photo gallery. Heck, if you have time, do both. If you think this SL is the perfect summertime companion for you, just give RK Motors a call and drop them a check for $30k. And if you worry about the little things, let me ease your mind with the knowledge that the car also has a full service history and all the original manuals and documents included.
