The CLA Gets Ute-ified
The humble little CLA platform has gone through almost every possible configuration that Mercedes could possibly throw at it. It’s been a small urban passenger car with the standard CLA. Then you have the CLA45 AMG, which takes the dial and turns it past eleven. Then Mercedes took that same chassis, raised the ride height a bit, and turned the CLA into the GLA, for those wanting more of a CUV feel. This of course got the AMG branding as well.
However, one car designer decided that the countless other variants weren’t enough, and that what the little CLA so desperately needed was to become … a pickup truck!
That’s right, with some help from Photoshop, X-Tomi decided to make a CLA Ute, and it looks awesome. While it would definitely be one of the smallest Utes in existence, it sure as heck would be a lot of fun.
While I doubt that Mercedes is already on the phone with X-Tomi to get them to pen more of these designs, the CLA doesn’t look half bad as a Ute. Although, I’m not sure who would be in the market for an entry-level Mercedes CLA Ute. That said, I doubted the CLA would do well, and look how wrong I was with that!
