New S-Class Continues its Epic 50,000-Kilometer Global Tour Across Asia

Global flagship convoy brings electric surprises to the Asian leg of its tour.
Remember when Mercedes-Benz dropped the new S-Class back in January? They didn’t just pull the covers off and park it in a museum. Instead, they handed the keys to three fresh-off-the-line S-Class saloons and sent them on a massive 50,000-kilometer road trip across six continents.
Dubbed “140 Years. 140 Places”, this global tour celebrates the brand’s pioneering heritage and the birth of the automobile. After tackling the Americas and Europe, the ultimate flagship convoy has officially touched down in Asia.

A Massive EV Surprise
The Asia leg is shaping up to be one of the most action-packed chapters of the tour. The convoy is scheduled to hit iconic spots and megacities across Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan.
But the biggest news for MB enthusiasts? The tour will make a highly anticipated pit stop in Seoul, South Korea, where the new S-Class will share the stage for the world premiere of the all-new electric C-Class. Following the big reveal in Seoul, the fleet will head over to Auto China in Beijing to flex its flagship presence in one of the brand’s most important markets.

A Rolling Meetup for Enthusiasts
One of the coolest parts of this journey is that the new S-Class isn’t traveling alone. Mercedes-Benz knows how much heritage matters to the community, so at various checkpoints along the route, the new flagship is being flanked by a rolling museum of classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles, current production models, and local fleet cars.
For local Mercedes-Benz Club members and fans, this translates to spontaneous meetups, unique photo ops, and exclusive showcases. It’s a rolling celebration of the Star, bringing the history and future of the brand right to the enthusiasts.
The Journey So Far
If you’re just catching up, these three S-Classes have already put in some serious work since they set off on January 29th. Here is where they’ve been:
- Europe: The tour kicked off in Stuttgart and carved through Switzerland, France, Spain, and Belgium, hosted by Callum Mullin.
- South America: The convoy then shipped out to tackle Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile with Karl Shakur at the wheel.
- North America: Most recently, the fleet conquered North American roads alongside host Benjamin Ortega.

What’s Next?
The 140-stop journey is slated to wrap up exactly where the Mercedes-Benz story began: Stuttgart, in October 2026.
If you want to keep tabs on the convoy’s progress through Asia, you can track the tour via the Mercedes-Benz Community hub, their social media channels, and YouTube.
