Stock 2017 Mercedes-Benz AMG C63S Runs 11.69

By -

A factory-stock 2017 Mercedes-Benz AMG C63S blasts down the quarter mile in 11.69 seconds.

Some of the media outlets that have tested the 2017 Mercedes-Benz AMG C63S have found that in stock form, it runs the quarter mile in the area of 12-seconds flat. However, MBWorld member AlexZTuned took his stock AMG coupe to the New England Dragway and ran considerably quicker than that – beating the media times by more than a quarter of a second.

This video was originally posted in the C63/s 1/4 Mile Thread started by Modio1234, asking members who have run their W205 down the dragstrip to post their times and information. AlexZTuned was the first person to reply with his timeslips and some information on his car, while also sharing the video above showing his C63S making its quickest quarter mile run.

C63S Goes 11.69

As you may know, this Mercedes-Benz is powered by a twin turbocharged V8 that produces 503 horsepower and 516lb-ft of torque. Alex ZTuned points out that his factory-stock C63S weighs 4,030lbs without him in it, so with 503hp and 516tq, the media-reported quarter mile times in the low-12s or high-11s seem like solid numbers. This forum member proved otherwise, covering the quarter mile in 11.698 seconds at 121.78 miles per hour. His trap speed is on par with what media outlets have reported, but his elapsed time is better than three-tenths quicker than the numbers from some of the big-name magazines.

AlexZTuned C63S Track

It should be noted that these runs were made on April 14th, 2017, with temperatures in the high 50s and a density altitude around -300. In other words, this 2017 Mercedes-Benz AMG C63S ran these impressive numbers in very good air, but that doesn’t make the stock 11.69 any less impressive.
