The ZR1 is a beast. By anyone’s standards it’s a true to the core sports car. The E55 AMG? Well, it’s certainly fast, but I wouldn’t put it in the same league. So seeing it run against the ZR1 at the drag strip is a happy change of pace. An even happier change of pace […] More »
Mercedes is an old, old, old company. They’re the oldest automaker in the world. As such they have more history, more strange stories and odd facts than most other companies on the planet. We’ve gathered a few here that are interesting enough to bring up in normal conversation (with other Mercedes nerds, obviously) but not […] More »
And it looks… a lot like a baby CLS. I guess that’s what we expected and Mercedes really has followed through in that regard. Even the front bumper is reminiscent of the 2012 CLS, complete with gaping scoops at the corner of it’s front bumper. I think it’s lost a little bit of elegance from […] More »
Captured recently on tape is this extended Mercedes-Benz G55. Enhanced by Brabus, it features revised headlights, bumpers and chrome trim. Done in black with black tint, it looks like a limousine that has the guts to go anywhere. And even though it’s powered by a 6.3-liter V8 in this case, one cannot expect any G-Class, with its barn-like aerodynamics, to get up and go. These technologies included active suspension, all-wheel drive, traction control, active aerodynamics, ABS and moveable ballast. And although engine displacements were limited to 2.5 litres, configurations allowed were any engines that were in production at the time. Mercedes-Benz’s weapon of… Continue Reading »
700hp. Let that sink in for a second. For comparison, the average, run-of-the-mill CLS 500 makes 400hp. Even when AMG gets their hands on it, they only see fit to tune it to a “measly” 520hp. RENNtech takes the already blisteringly fast AMG model, decides that it’s not fast enough, throws in bigger turbos and […] More »
The biggest thing that Mercedes has in the pipeline is their new S-Class. It seem’s like they’re not bringing it out for the Franfurt Autoshow this month, but they will be bringing these artistic designs to the Paris Auto Show. They call it, “Aesthetics S”. The new sculptures highlight the curves of the new S-Class. The […] More »
