AMG C63s Cabrio Gives M4 Cabrio Sleepless Nights

M4 owners have something to worry about with the new AMG C63s cabrio. AMG’s old fist-to-face approach to speed has been replaced with a more sophisticated way to utilize the power that resides under the hood. That means that the new C63s cabrio takes itself a little more seriously, and the performance and dynamics prove it.

Chopping the top off has added some weight, but in the AMG, it doesn’t hurt performance as much as you would expect. As pointed out in the Auto Express video below, it actually feels faster than the coupe due to nature whizzing by in 4k clarity. It’s also measurably faster to 60 miles per hour than the M4, putting another feather in AMG’s Tyrolean hat. And, the AMG shines in yet another area where the BMW somewhat lacks: interior. That’s not to say the M4’s interior is built poorly or is bad looking, just that the C63s’ interior has more attention to detail and more sense of occasion.

If you’re on the fence, it makes for a truly tough choice, but we all know that the sound of the V8 (and the power) should win you over.
