W205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class has moved up in the world. Until the advent of the CLA-Class, the C-Class was the entry-level Mercedes. Now it’s one of the middle children in the Benz family, but instead of getting neglected, it has ended up getting more toys than ever.

New optional features for the W205 C-Class include air suspension, head-up display and DISTRONIC PLUS with Steering Assist — a feature that essentially makes the new C-Class an autonomous vehicle when traveling at speeds less than 37 mph.

At launch the W205 will be offered in two all-wheel-drive guises: the C300 4MATIC will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo I4 with 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The C400 4MATIC will use a 3.0L turbo V6 with 329 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. Benz’s new middle child will roll into U.S. showrooms in September.
