Spring pads

I saw someone over in the W208 area say that they changed the spring pads to even out a height difference between the front and rear. Would changing the spring pads cause any difference in ride quality? What do these pads do?

Thanks a lot!

It shouldn't change the ride quality. Each pad has about 1/4 inch difference, so they will just lower/raise your car depending on which number you get. Each pad is about $3 from the dealer. They are the black rubber things that sit at the very top of your spring and hold it in place.
