A Zaino Weekend

I Zanio’ed the S600 this weekend and what a difference. Before Zaino, I was finished with black cars and really hated the S600.

The car looks so great, I returned to driving enjoyment.

I used the following products and steps:

1. Wash and dry
2. Apply the PC (I only waited 5 minutes before removal)
3. Apply #2 (I only waited 5 minutes before removal)
4. Apply #5 (I only waited 5 minutes before removal)
5. Apply #8 (I removed with terry cloth towel immediately)

Zanio, the only way to go, if your car is black.

clay bar too

I agree, Zaino is great. The only step I would recommend adding if your vehicle is more than a couple of years old is the clay bar. You do this after the initial car wash and prior to polishing. This will remove small particles embedded in the paint and restore a smooth silky surface to the paint.

(By the way, what type of a surface is that in your garage floor?)

To test if you need to clay or not, get a ziploc bag, put your hand in it and run it over the surface of a clean car (paint only) and if you feel grittiness, you need to clay.

The floor is an epoxy with a glitter substance on top. The Garage People did the work for around $3,000. It has several coats of acrylic lacquer sealer and nothing will stick or discolor. It took 7 days to complete the installation and another 7 days to let cure.

The Turbo Porsche generated a lot of heat (as does the Benz) and it bakes the surface under the engine compartment. This surface is fine and unblemished.

Let me guess - Husband (or wife) is a PhD in an academic discipline and the spouse is an attorney. It looks like that education paid off. Stay in school kids.

My wife is a Patent / Intellectual Property Attorney and has a PhD in Biology and a law degree. She works in the Biotech field. She finished her PhD during the first two of her three law school years. She completed both at age 29 and waited 1.5 years between her BS and PhD.

Since our kids are still in car seats, the S class is the only car we fit in.

I have been washing and waxing my cars since I was 15. I have always used Maguire’s. Zaino has given me much better results.

A black surface is a real product testing ground. It is well worth the time and effort.

My father is in Boca, Redoolght how far are you from him?

Wot about the mini van?
Who spends $3000 on a garage floor, are you fkn nuts,I thought you said the dragon was an intilekchewall/property bio kemist/formua 1 driver/charity leading momma, damn she sounds over qualified to pilot the next Space Shuttle.well I am sure you could afford some one to wax your Pontiac,Mini Van and black Camry.
And what does JD mean, its for damn sure not the ratty *** lawyers they give you when you cannot afford your own, they are lucky to be on a bike let alone a GTO!
So do it mean Justice Defender as someone else had taken DJ when you tried to get the vanity tags , or , and heres wot I think, its meaning "Just Dumb".

OK , I got it now

This is his mom and dad he is talking about, see the old Ford Ranger out front, thats his car. Dagmire, the youngest son at 13, uses the old p/up to mow neighbors lawns and wax their cars.

err, I think its a Porche really, i was kidding.
Very similar tho. now that GM has bought them out.
mind you I agree about the garage floor.

Nah, just kidding, not your fault really, money, situation, priv, does that I hear.
However, I am pissed that the M45 threads were nailed down shut by the teenies(evidently due to an emergency call to "Big Ricky Agrawalla", who is 7 years old and owns a diecast model of a BMW 3 series,(hence, his qualifications to rescue Newton22 and AsianML when someone argues a point with them) .

Ricky, I ran your test and the surface (in the one area I checked) was smooth. The car has been in service since early 2004 and always garaged, washed and waxed by myself (13,000 miles). I hope no clay bar yet.
