I am looking to upgrade my exhaust as it fell off yesterday. Rather than putting a stock system in I'd like to put something that will last and add some perfromance and growl. Any sugestions? I've been looking for a remus exhaust system but haven't had any luck. Does any1 have any ideas or know of shops who tune these cars?

Check the Remus website for new rear direct fit mufflers (check other Mercedes forums or eBay for used Remus direct fit or universal mufflers). Then run some 'straight' pipe (w/o resonator) from the cat back to the Remus. Removing the cat (or replacing it with a hi-flow unit) and gutting the pre-cats will make it really loud.

Timevalve also sells replacement stainless exhaust for the 16V.
