Can this be a diy project? I mean pick up a sqaure metal tube and drills a hole at each end.Since I don't know what this for/or the reason for it .Has anybody made their own? The one on Ebay went for $134 shipped.It just look like it you can buy the parts round/square bar/ fittings and have someone weld it for you it will be cheaper.

These stiffen up the suspension sort of by not allowing the body to twist as much. Basically you do front and rear and it makes the body more firm side to side for cornering. This along with some sportier springs/struts all around and thicker sways will make the car handle very well and allow minimal body roll and body sway!

First of all, is chassis flex an issue for most street cars or the W201 or do you just want to "look like a racer?" To truly brace the shock towers, you'd really need to add additional bracing, like a roll bar cage, to form a triangular structure, otherwise you're just linking two horizontal points.
