1989 190e 2.0l
Take the air cleaner assembly off and you'll find the cold start valve in the middle of the inlet manifold, fairly close to the head.
I've just bought a 1989 2.0l 190e myself and have found the cold start valve to be unplugged. Something in the circuit is faulty causing it to be permanently on if it's connected. Now i have the real fun of trying to even find the relay for it.
I have a manual on CD but it's of very limited use to me since it only covers USA models. Winter is aproaching now and i'd better fix it before i have fun trying to start it on the of the mornings when we nearly get a frost.
