190D no brakes

85 190d that the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor...
Won't hold pressure, I think it may be vacume?
How do I find out before buying a master cyln?
Which v hoses control the brakes?
also, how do you test using a "mighty vac"
Thanks all, bo

before you start shopping or ripping things apart - check to see if you have any fluid in your reservoir. Then if you are low add some - then bleed the brakes to get the air out
