190e head
Does anyone know if there is a difference between an early say 1985 190e head and one off a later car say 1987? I have a crappy head on my 878v and Im in need of a new one. I found one at the junk yard thats off of an 85 and they said they werent sure it would work. I ha d thought before 85-90's 2.3 8v engines parts were interchangeable. Any help before I buy this?

as long as the head came off a M102.985 and the timing gear on the cam match you will not have a problem, however if it is the double chain type and yours is a single, you only need to swap the gear.
