Hello
My car began acting up lately in the morning when I start it up and it fires up right away but when I drive away it will hessitate and sometimes backfire and stall. Starts it up again but I won't be able to drive unless it warms up for 5 to 10 minutes. Any ideas what it could be? Ignition cables, distributor cap, rotor and spark plugs were changed but the same thing happens.

I drive a 1991 190e 2.3 and I also own a 2001 ML320
It sounds like a problem with temperture. The cold start valve is doing its job but the car is not heating up properly that's why you're getting the problem when you're starting to drive away. maybe your thermostat is staying in the open position and it takes an extended period of time to get it to operation temperture.

Thanks for the info. I will check that but I think it might be something else because my wife told me she had the same problem in the summer. I have been using it lately and it starts up fine and seems the colder the better. The problem seems more apparent when it begins to warm up. That's when the hesitation occurs and might just backfire if you try to accelerate too quickly and stall. Once warmed up runs better no stalls but I noticed yesterday at high speeds I would feel some hesitation it would not pull smoothly.
