Got my copy of my original window sticker today
I faxed in my info to MB USA and they sent me a letter with a copy of any service records that were on file and a copy of the original window sticker, my 190e was $23,895.00 in 85, the average orice of a car in 85 was $6495.00, so a 190e was ALOT more!!
I ordered mine last week and got it today, thats fast, they may or may not have the info for every car, but if you want to try here is how you get it:
Copy of your title or registration card, I sent both, faxed to 201-476-6213 MB USA Customer Relations, fax over those items and a letter with all of your contact info asking for any service records that may be on file, a copy of the original window sticker and make sure you put the VIN # in the letter too.

At that time Mercedes had different "base prices" for different geographic areas. I believe that the East Coast and Gulf area had the lowest base prices, while the Midwest and West Coast were slightly higher due to transport costs. Back at that time, there was a magazine comparison between the $23K 190E and a $12K Honda Accord Se-i . . . and the Honda came pretty close.

The copy of the window sticker is free. The "birth certificate" is, according to the Mercedes Classic Center in Germany, 100 Euros.
Another "freebie" that most non-original owners aren't aware of . . . MBUSA offers all Mercedes owners free roadside assistance via an 800 number.
