wiper arm stuck ...

i have an '86 190e and was cleaning my window earlier and my wiper blade is in the lock position and will not go back down to the normal position. i saw several other posts that suggested to push on it to get it to go down, but this is not working.

when it locked, the blade also came out of the hook arm and will not go back in. i've never had this happen before when changing blades.

any help appreciated.

wiper arm stuck... sam thing happened to me

Use WD40 or Silicone spray lubricant where the wiper arm pivots.
Then push a little firmly using leverage to get the arm to go down. It will go down with the right pressure.
