hood liner

where can i get a new hood liner for my 92190e2.6? all parts store told me to go to dealer,and they charge 150bucks.

The $50 pads are for the 2.3. The cheapest I ever found one for the 2.6 was at AutohausAZ.com where it was $110.
I feel it was worth it to get the full hood length covered.
Note that it's very hard to find the push rivets for securing the pad. I ended up using regular aluminum rivets for the top 6 and the plastic screw type fasteners for the remaining 4. The aluminum rivets actually look pretty cool and do a fine job.

True - even with the rivets you need to use the adhesive. There's a high-temp version (8090 I think?) that should do the trick. But in addition to the adhesive mine (a 1992) had six push rivets at the leading edge where the rubber trim strips are as well as four or six around the edges.
