I want to replace my speakers in my car, but since im not home right now, and cannot find out what sizes i need, i figured id post a threat to get the answers before i get back home and that way all i need to do is buy the speakers and replace the old ones.
What standard stereo equipment comes in a 87 16v (speakers)? What can i replace them with that wont require me modifying the car in any way to fit them?
Advice on subwoofers anyone? I had an 800 watt ten in my old 190E, it sounded good outside the car, but it didnt sound good inside the car, just didnt have the bass feeling, where you can hardly breath. Any help is appreciated.

You can fit 4" speakers in the dash. You may need to trim the mounting tabs to get them to fit. 4" speakers can easily be fitted in the rear deck. You could install 6x9's if you wanted to, but will require that you cut the metal so the magnets clear and you will need to modify the cardboard rear deck.
JL Audio, Infinity Kappa, MTX, Diamond Audio, Kicker...etc. all make good subwoofers.
