Right now I am talking with a local euro car shop on a HID conversion for the car and if that goes through then I'll get tints next.

Congrats.. I too had one when I was 24 yrs old not that long ago. A 1987 2.6, pristine condition, silver/grey with large chrome wheels. It was gorgeous w/ only 45k miles on the clock.
Unfortunatly the guy repoe'd even after he got 7,000 dollars down payment my Dad put down. Grrrr. So my dad reported him to the IRS.. hehe
I felt like royatly while I had it.. although the wheels were too big for the wheel wells.

Nice car, nice rims, but - and I'm sorry to criticise - you've gotta do something about those lights !
I duuno why you guys over in the states have to put up with those srange headlamps but they really do spoil the 'properly engineered' look of the car. For gawd's sake get some proper Mercedes-Benz headlamps on it - like the rest of the world uses. I think you call them 'Euros' or something over there. Clear indicator lenses, with orange LED bulbs, instead of bright orange corners would also help to clean-up the front end a great deal.
As regards the rad grille: If you can get the plastic insert from a 500 SEC then it can be filed down to fit in the 190E grille frame. Pending that, it is fairly easy to remove the grey plastic out of the grille shell (leaving the shell on the car) and paint it black.
Aside from the above - nice motor, mate !

So of course it didn't take long for someone to mess with up.
I had it out on the weekend and someone keyed my front passenger door
I'm going to see if I can buff it out since it's not extremely deep.

DarkCreep:
Yeah it's long, just about the entire door
bonaturtle:
No I didn't get it from there, I just saw it on autotrader the same day he posted it, and next day I bought it.
BTW I am in the Des Plaines/Park Ridge area.
If you want check out the carshow I am hosting September 17th.

MBWorld Fanatic!
FLUSH the tranny?
MB transmission aren't flushed.
Simply drain the oil--on MB transmissions there's a drain bolt for converter as well as in main body pan.
As for wheels ... recommend you be able to see before worrying about being seen. Install Euro headlights.

The car is currently on 16x7" Ronal 5 star wheels with Continental ContiTouring 205s all around.
I felt the 18s were just too big, these Ronals give it a nicer classic euro look.
I will post pics when I get a chance.
Also I've been waiting for someone to call me back regarding a HID conversion.

Very Clean!!
If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for such a fine example? 50k miles and near flawless everything else..
If you do decide to go with Euros, I might be interested in buying your US headlights. Keep me in mind.
The 16's look great. Did you mess around with the suspension also or is it stock?

I am still on the fence, he hasn't called me back yet so as of right now it looks like the project has been dropped.
Those were the 18s in the pics on stock suspension, I'll get up pics of the 16s when I get a chance.

Here are some new pics, I have swapped the 18s with some 16x7 Ronals.
Fits the car a lot better.

Got the car back tuesday.
The port and polish was completed, and the car feels a tad bit faster.
Also people in the shop, kept on gawking over it, lol, they were impressed with the amazing condition of the car which lead to interesting offers
