Electric window problem

I went to work yesterday with the driver's side window down and when i got to work, it wouldn't close. There is no noise coming from the electric motor in the door, and I checked the switch and it is alright. My question to you all: How hard is it to install a new window motor?

Did you check the fuse? Maybe it blew.. It takes the red one number 16 I believe.
Try to lower your window in the rear but the right one see if that one goes down.
My driver and rear right windows wont go down any more. For a while it was blowing fuses every 2 days but now they are just dead.

Fuses cost about $3 for a set of 5 I think.

Well I'll be damned! That was the problem. When the driver's window quit working, I thought the fuse might be the problem. The front passenger's window opened, the rear driver's side window worked and I didn't even think about trying the other rear window. I figured the motor for the window was shot. So the drivers window and the right rear window is fuse #16 and the other 2 windows are on a seperate fuse? Why did MBZ do that? Thanks DarkCreep. I thought this was going to be an expensive fix.

Yeah they are seperate fuses for each of the two windows. Why did MBZ do this? Because they want to be different probably. Everything in the cars are different from other companies lol.

What you can TRY is get another fuse from something else like the headlight and put it in the window fuse, and try it.

I already had a bunch of spare fuses in my truck. I popped one in there and the window started working as usual. The next test is to find out why it blew. But that's for another day~ Thanks again DC
