1991 190E: What sensor controls the idle?

1991 190E 4-cyl manual...The car runs fine as long as the engine temp remains under 80 degrees. After that, especially in stop and go traffic, it will not keep a steady idle when I come to a stop.

Is there a sensor that controls the fast idle or something to that effect that I can replace. It just started doing this, never had a problem before.

i had that problem with my car tooo. the problem seemed to be bad gas!! make sure u are using 91 octane or else your idle problem will continue. if it is still happening keep diluting the 87 or 89 out as often as possible even if u are only buying 5 dollars worth of gas
